The Buena Vista Spanish Immersion Summer Camp is a Bay Area based program dedicated to giving kids a fun and enriching summer experience to remember - in Spanish!   We have an amazing team with extensive experience in childcare and summer camps, as well as a rich knowledge of both Spanish language and culture. Our program is designed and directed by teachers credentialed in dual immersion education in order to provide campers with the educational foundations they need to enrich their fluency in Spanish.

This summer, our theme is:

An under the Sea Adventure

Once again, we have planned a rich Spanish language summer learning program for our campers for this coming summer.  Our multi-week program is designed to give kids the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Spanish language, while also exploring the fascinating world of ocean animals. Through interactive activities and engaging games, kids will learn about the ocean, its creatures, and the importance of ocean conservation. In addition, they will be able to experience the language and culture of Spanish-speaking countries through hands-on activities and conversations with their native Spanish speaking teachers. Finally, each week will include an exciting treasure hunt, giving kids the chance to explore and discover new and hidden vocabulary. 

 

Integrated activities include, arts & crafts, music, science activities, shared and independent writing and reading.

The Details

Camp runs from June 10, 2024 - July 12, 2024

Camp is open daily from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • We will be closed Wednesday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth

  • We will be closed: Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day

  • Extended care is available for an additional $100/week

    • Includes before and aftercare hours: 8am - 9am & 4pm - 5:30pm

Summer 2024 Weekly Themes:

  • Week 1: June 10 - 14 | Under the Sea Around the World

  • Week 2: June 17 - 21 | Let’s meet our sea friends!

  • Week 3: June 24 - 28 | Let’s get cooking! From the sea to our table.

  • Week 4: July 1 - 3  | Dive Into Ocean Science

  • Week 5: July 8 - 12 | Showcase our summer learning!

Spanish Immersion Camp at BVCC provides: 

Morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack provided by Chefables

    • If desired, campers may choose to bring their own​​ snacks and lunch.

  • Play and activities are all facilitated in Spanish

  • Extended care for an additional $100/week

    • Includes before and aftercare hours: 8am - 9am & 4pm - 5:30pm

  • Details to follow regarding field trips and additional enrichment activities that will be part of summer camp 2023.

    • Ideas for field trips include visiting the 4-story rainforest at the California Academy of Sciences​!
